Chris and Chelsie attempt to make RSO for the first time! There are so many different and creative ways to make RSO. There are also a lot of different names for this recipe; hash oil, full spectrum cannabis oil, Rick Simpson Oil, or RSO. This particular recipe is easy and yields amazing results in my opinion. It also isn’t as messy as some methods to clean up. We were always a little nervous to try making RSO, considering it takes a lot of Cannabis, there are tons of recipes to choose from, and it can be a little intimidating trying it for the first time! Follow along with us, and learn to make this simple RSO recipe!

TOOLS & INGREDIENTS:
This recipe uses-
1 oz decarbed cannabis
Everclear
rice cooker
mason jar (with tight fitting lid)
strainer and cheesecloth
syringe

DIRECTIONS:
First, add all your decarbed cannabis (no you don’t HAVE to decarb) to a mason jar with a tight fitting lid. Pour the Everclear into the jar, using just enough to cover the cannabis.
Shake and stir for 10 minutes.
Strain the mixture with a strainer and cheesecloth.
Add the liquid to a mason jar.
Place the mason jar into the rice cooker, and add enough water to cover the bottom of the rice cooker. Cook for 4 hours, with the rice cooker lid open. Be sure to check on this often, you will need to replenish the water every 20-30 minutes.
Your mixture will begin to melt down, and thicken. Once the liquid is no longer bubbling, and has a honey or syrup type consistency, your RSO is ready!
Using a syringe, slowly start adding the RSO to each syringe. Store in a cool and dry place.

COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Must I use Everclear? No Gem Clear works well too. The reason we don’t suggest using Rubbing Alcohol is due to toxicity.

Must I Decarboxylate My Cannabis? That is dependent upon your view of it. Many say you don’t have to decarboxylate your cannabis if you are doing an alcohol extract. If you want a more sedative effect, I would suggest decarbing to bring a more sedative effect. Again there are many views and ways to make this recipe.

Must I Use An Indica? No, but it is said that using a heavy indica helps with sedation and much of the healing happens during sleep.
